Planning & Cost Control Engineer
About the Role
The Planning & Cost Control Engineer is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling project costs throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures projects remain within approved budgets by supporting forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis while collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets and cost plans.
- Track project expenditures and ensure costs remain within approved budgets.
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and financial analyses for management review.
- Monitor project milestones, variations, billing progress, and cost performance.
- Review cost estimates and recommend improvements for budgeting and procurement.
- Verify supplier, vendor, and subcontractor invoices and claims.
- Maintain project cost records and accounting databases.
- Coordinate with project teams to support forecasting and financial planning.
- Monitor billing status and assist with accounts receivable activities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and company procedures.
