Meet EIP at Gulfood Manufacturing 2026

Gulfood Manufacturing 2026

Food production doesn’t stop at the factory line. While processing equipment is vital, the surrounding environment must seamlessly support every stage of manufacturing, chilling, freezing, storage, and logistics.

At Gulfood Manufacturing 2026, Emirates Industrial Panel (EIP) will meet food manufacturers, cold-chain operators, project owners, consultants and contractors to discuss insulated panel solutions for these environments, from individual processing rooms to larger temperature-controlled facilities.

Whether the project is a new facility, a production expansion or a reconfiguration of existing spaces, the conversation can begin with what each area needs to do and how its insulated enclosure should be designed around that requirement.

Insulated exterior cladding and roof systems at a food-manufacturing production facility

Different spaces. Different demands on the enclosure.

A food facility may have several areas operating under very different conditions. Understanding their role is an important starting point for deciding how the walls, ceilings, partitions and surrounding envelope should be configured.

01 / Cold chain

Cold stores and freezer rooms

Chilled and frozen storage spaces need an enclosure suited to their design temperatures, room dimensions, access arrangements and operational movement. Cold Store Panels (CSP) can form insulated walls, ceilings and partitions for these applications.

Discuss: room configuration, operating temperature and enclosure details

02 / Food processing

Processing and production zones

Food-processing layouts may require separated rooms for different production activities, with attention to internal conditions, suitable surfaces, washdown practices, door openings and interfaces between adjacent zones.

Discuss: partitions, finishes, hygiene and internal zoning

03 / Facility development

Extensions and distribution spaces

Expanding storage or adding production capacity can introduce new wall and ceiling arrangements, connections to existing structures, transport and installation constraints, and coordination with the facility’s current operations.

Discuss: expansion interfaces, construction sequence and project scope

Engineering the insulated environment around the process

For a temperature-controlled room, selecting an insulated panel is only part of the work. The arrangement of the room, the suitability of the exposed surfaces, and the details at joints and openings all influence how well the completed enclosure serves its intended application.

What deserves an early discussion?

  • Temperature and room configurationChilled or frozen operation, internal zoning, room height, and the use of wall, ceiling and partition elements.
  • Joints, access and interfacesPanel junctions, sealing, penetrations, insulated doors and transitions to other building elements.
  • Fire and installation requirementsProject-specific fire-performance criteria, structural/support arrangements, handling and installation constraints.

EIP’s current insulation options are PIR (Polyisocyanurate) B1 and B2. Fire-performance suitability depends on the applicable project specification and supporting documentation.

How will the room be cleaned?

Food-processing spaces do not all follow the same cleaning routine. Some areas remain relatively dry, while others are washed frequently with cleaning chemicals, hot water or steam. These conditions help determine the appropriate exposed panel finish and the detailing needed around joints and openings.

01 / Hygiene

Cleanable surfaces and details

Hygienic design considers the cleanability of exposed walls and ceilings, joints, corners, penetrations and other interfaces. The appropriate arrangement depends on the production activity and facility hygiene requirements.

02 / Chemical washdown

Compatibility with cleaning agents

For areas cleaned with detergents or disinfectants, the selected coating should be assessed against the chemicals used, their concentration, contact time, cleaning frequency and rinsing procedure.

03 / Heat exposure

Hot-water and steam cleaning

Where hot water or steam is used, the expected temperature, pressure, duration and frequency need review. Coating, joints and sealants must be suitable for the specified cleaning method; steam resistance should not be assumed.

Coating selection: EIP’s available topcoats include PES (Polyester), HDP (High Durable Polyester), PVDF (Polyvinylidene Difluoride) and Food-safe coating. A Food-safe designation does not by itself confirm resistance to every cleaning chemical or high-temperature washdown. Specific compatibility and permissible cleaning conditions should be checked with EIP Engineering before selection.

Considering a modular or prefabricated cold room?

EIP can discuss an engineered insulated panel package for the required room configuration, including wall and ceiling panels, associated accessories and relevant installation details. A fully operational refrigerated-room package may also involve doors, refrigeration, controls, flooring and commissioning, with the scope and responsibilities agreed for each project.

Insulated systems already applied in food-sector facilities

Project references can make the specification conversation more practical. The following published EIP examples show two different requirements: a multi-system food-manufacturing building and internal insulated environments for food production.

Food manufacturing · Multi-system envelope

More than one panel system for one production facility

For an ice-cream production facility, EIP supplied cold-store, external wall and roof panel systems for different parts of the building.

11,000 m²CSP
6,000 m²HFW
4,000 m²TRP 40/333

It illustrates why food-manufacturing projects can require an overall envelope package rather than using the same panel type for every area. These are published supply quantities, not measured operating-performance results.

Panelled environments for production activities

A published food-production reference records the installation of more than 3,000 m² of EIP CSP80 and CSP100 panels.

This reference is useful for discussing how insulated internal spaces are formed around a facility’s production and storage needs. Final hygiene performance and operational outcomes depend on the complete project specification and installation.

Looking beyond the panels to the wider facility

In food-processing and cold-chain projects, the enclosure, refrigeration and access systems need to be considered together. Temperature-controlled spaces must accommodate the required cooling conditions while allowing people, products and equipment to move through the facility.

Where the project calls for complementary expertise, companies within TIG Holding can contribute across these connected disciplines:

ADEARESTRefrigeration & process cooling

System engineering, cooling requirements, plant solutions and temperature-control considerations.

SALCODoors & access

The precise supply, design, installation and commissioning responsibilities are defined by the agreed project scope. A coordinated solution does not necessarily mean that every component is included in one contract.

Discuss your food-facility project with EIP

The EIP team welcomes conversations about new cold rooms and freezer facilities, food-production zones, temperature-controlled extensions, hygienic panel finishes, chemical or hot-water cleaning requirements, enclosure detailing and how a panel package could fit into a wider project.

You do not need a finished technical specification to begin. Room sizes, design temperatures, a preliminary layout or details of the cleaning methods used in the facility can provide a useful starting point. EIP’s team can help establish which additional information is needed.
